Pat Buchanan Says Gaza is an "Israeli Concentration Camp" - Video 1/8/09
Here is video of conservative pundit Pat Buchanan on MSNBC yesterday making comments about Israel that are just amazing. Buchanan likens Israel's Ground Offensive in Gaza to the Nazi "blitzkrieg," actually using the word in describing it. He also went a step further and says that Gaza is an "Israeli concentration camp," where "cruelty" by Israel is taking place.
Let's step back for a moment. I have always liked Pat Buchanan's analysis when he is talking about inside the Beltway political matters. He is a very good analyst on those things. But he has real blinders when it comes to Israel. Every so often he pops off and says things that are bizarre. I don't enjoy criticizing Pat, but he is just dead wrong when it comes to Israel.
To think that Israel should be content to just accept Hamas or Hezbollah lobbing "little missiles," as Buchanan called them, into their country is irrational. Israel has every right to self-defense. Buchanan would be better off not commenting on matters related to Israel. For whatever reason, he is not rational on the subject.

Gee, before the Moors (Muslims) invaded it was all Israeli land (i.e., white coded). Take that map back a millinea or two. The UN resolution re-establishing the nation of Israel only began to restore what was taken from them.

okay by me if you want to take it back a millennium or two... let's see now... history clearly and undisputed says that the tribe of Abraham (before they were later called Jews and Arabs) actually stole the land from the Canaanites by massacring them and occupying their land. They claim that this was instruction and reward from their god. So, not even the ancient Israelite (note I don't use 'Israelis here) are the original owners of the holy lands.
keep in mind also that European Jews are converts to the old faith and not the direct blood descendants of the ancient desert Jews, whom until the forced establishment of the state of Israel, had always co-existed with their fellow Arab christian and Arab moslem alike. Arab Jews are the real Jews, my friend, and it is well documented by Israelis themselves that these Arab Jews are treated like second class citizens by the colonizing and arrogant European Israelis.
European Jews don't even physically look like they came from the desert.
Nothing you can or I can do about changing the above facts.
Sorry if this makes you mad, but I think a lot of useful truths about this conflict have been hidden from us in usa for a long time. We need to know all the facts so as to find sound and fair solutions to this ongoing conflict.

Listen, here's my deal. I give a rat's a** about what the bible supposedly says. I wasn't around when it was written and it was so long ago that I could care less.
The land we live in, the USA, we stole from the Native Americans...murdered and brutalized innocent people in order to do it...but have they been terrorizing us for centuries because of it? NO. If they did, would you gladly step aside and let them have it back because it's THEIR holy land that we stole? Of course you wouldn't.
So stop getting all high and mighty about Israel and the land that they occupy today...or who it belongs to. They are there now because they fought for it and won it like every other people who occupy a certain land.
They have a right to that land and they MOST CERTAINLY have a right to PROTECT their people. So I say...I give a crap who the land MAY HAVE once belonged to...it belongs to the Israelis now...so bomb the crap out of any self righteous idiotic group that tries to win it back. If you aren't mighty enough to protect your own land and and lose it, that's one thing, but if have the force to use...then I see NOTHING wrong with using it to protect your own.
And until you step aside and give your house to a deserving Native American, you have no argumentative leg to stand on.

By your own logic then, the Palestinians too should be killing (guilt-free and blame free) till they reclaim the last inch of their recently stolen land by any means necessary, just like the European Jews did to Palestine. In other words, if the Israelis are aloud to conquer and keep the spoils, then the same should be applied to all of us in the world, including the Palestinians.
You strike me like a reasonable enough person to accept the above.
