Obama Executive Orders Show Concern for Captured Terrorists; None for Innocent Human Life

President Barack Obama has shown in the first four days of his Presidency that he has great concern for the lives of terror suspects, but not for innocent human life.

With great fanfare, he signed Executive Orders ordering the closing of the Guantanamo Bay Terrorist Prison within one year, halted prosecutions of terror suspects held there, and ordered an end to the use of any enhanced interrogation techniques to gain information from high value terrorist captives. In fact, he ordered that only the "Army Field Manual" techniques be used, meaning every terror organization now has access to memorize just how far America will go to gain information from them about terror plots should they be captured.

Without fanfare or television cameras, Obama also has ordered an end to the ban on U.S. support for organizations overseas that perform abortions. Obama was careful not to issue the order until the day after the 36th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision, and he signed the executive order with no video or gaggle of reporters present.

What President Obama has revealed with these early Executive Orders is that protecting innocent human life is not high on his agenda. He seems more concerned about the comfort of captured terrorists than he is about the innocent Americans that may be killed if we fail to gain needed information from these terrorists. With the stroke of a pen, he assists organizations across the world in the taking of innocent human life through abortion. Obama told Rick Warren that the question of "when does a baby get human rights" is "above his pay-grade:"



But he did not ponder the question long once taking office. He has clearly decided that pre-born babies are not worthy of human rights, even though dangerous terrorists are.

This is not a new ideology. It is the warped ideology of the radical Left in America. The comfort and "rights" of criminals and terrorists trumps the safety of law-abiding Americans and innocent life in the womb. While Obama has carefully sought to create the impression he will govern from the center, his actions show that the change he wants to bring to America is the agenda of the radical Left.
