Never Before Seen World War II Film Footage Found - Raw Video 11/11/08

Here is remarkable raw footage of combat over and across the French and German countryside during World War II following the D-Day Invasion in June 1944. The film was shot by Albert Fagler who lived through those days as an Army Combat Photographer. The film was found by his grandchildren in the basement of his home in Colorado following his recent death. The film is silent but dramatic as it shows a taste of what those brave Americans experienced to preserve freedom for our nation, and give freedom to millions in Europe.

Well it's a good thing we didn't have the military prowess of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Obama during this time. During the battle of the bulge they would have declared the war "lost" and surrendered to the Nazis...

What a bunch of self-agrandizing, myopic, power hungry fools that will be running this country.

Hey, don't sell Pelosi, Reid, and Obama short. They probably would not have made the same sacrifice for the liberation of Europe, but they might be willing to sacrifice as many human lives for Global Warming or income redistribution.

The two of you can't really be that stupid, can you?

Don't you get it? You are in the MINORITY and in a previous century.

And you are living in dreamland ... keep singing Kumbayah with the other liberals.

I for one still appreciate the America back when Americans had guts, courage, and were unafraid to fight for freedom.

I sincerely hope you are kidding when you say this. Being in the minority does NOT make a person wrong. Political minorities in Germany, the USSR, China, and North Korea (to name an obvious few) have not been wrong. As far as living in the previous century and another comment that said "get back to the museum you fossil" you must really not get what sacrifice is about. The men and women who served then (and now) did not do it to make their own lives better, but to ensure that future generations would be better off. They are the ultimate "forward thinkers". That coincidentally is also where socialism falls short. It steals from the minority (rich) to give to the majority, leaving no economic means for FUTURE growth. As a side note, let’s not act like Pelosi, Reid, or Obama would have had the guts to see the through the one month Battle of the Bulge (81,000 American casualties, including 23,554 captured and 19,000 killed). Compare that to the 4193 reported deaths experienced in the four and a half years of occupying a hostile country (Iraq). Obama's foreign policy tuck tail and run, then solve everything diplomatically like President Jimmy Carter (He utilized the EXACT SAME negotiating principles as Obama has suggested). http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=79411

Yes it's great when Americans fight for freedom and just causes. But to go into Iraq without justification just for the oil is simply being a greedy bully. This has caused many fair minded people worldwide to lose respect for America. Fortunately Obama stood his ground and voted against this illegal war and has vowed to to try to repair the damage. Let's all unite to give him the chance to get America back on track to be the beacon for freedom once again.

FDR, LBJ virtually all presidents that led us into modern war were democrats...Regan, Bush (1st) and Clinton all led us into sloppy skirmishes. O(shit)bama seems to have a hard-on for Afganistan. Lets sit back and watch what happens. That is the truly conservitave thing to do.

That is true many people are upset with us for going into iraq.. but its to late to say "we shouldn't have gone there". Were there and we have to make the best of it and not turn tail and run. I totally agree with many of the posts here especially the one posted Nov, 11 9:29. That one hippie obviously didn't know what he was talking about. God bless our troops and lets start to rebuild our country's economy, its just as much our responsibility as it is the governments. I want to see this country grow to what it once was.

Im a U.S. combat veteran. I served primarily during the Clinton admin and finished out my time under Bush(2). It is my opinion that a strong military be maintained for use when the U.S. and its interests are directly threatened or when all diplomatic solutions have been exhausted. There is nothing wrong with negotiation. At some point as Americans we have turned our back on diplomacy and foreign policy. I feel we have gone from liberators and defenders to oppressors and aggressors. I am a true patriot. I love this country for the beautiful experiment it is. Let us as americans not lose sight of the social, religious, and economic reasons for the formation of our country. This is to be a place of free speech, thought, and the opportunity to live a good and free life. These freedoms were dearly purchased by you, your fathers and grandfathers. Dont profane that sacrifice with simple aggression and willful ignorance. This is a rare thing. The worlds most beautiful nation. Treat it as such.

Ron Whitfield;
Salutes to those that succeeded in beating back the evil of that era. We're suffering again today because of, and would have lost WW2, with the likes of the two I'm dropping mega-ton US loads on below.
