Obama Mocks McCain for Fighting for Joe the Plumber - Video 10/16/08

Here is video of Barack Obama speaking at a rally today where he mentioned "Joe the Plumber." Obama used a mocking tone to say "a plumber's the one he (McCain) is fighting for" - to the delighted laughter of the crowd. This is a ready made ad for the McCain campaign.

What an out of touch snob this Obama guy is. I used to be a little worried about the election. Not anymore. I think McCain has this thing wrapped up.

Ha ha, his BUSINESS would COST $250,000. That's not what he would MAKE in INCOME from the company.

Seriously. A plumber making $250,000 a year? Not gonna happen. Not to mention, this "Joe" has over $1000 in unpaid taxes and is not registered to vote. Is that really the face that McCain wants to put on his campaign? Go right ahead, it'll just be another in a loooonggg line of mistakes McCain has made in this election.

Ah, quoting out of context. What a typical tactic of the Rethugs.

What Obama was mocking was the notion that McCain was fighting for a plumber, when in fact McCain fights for breaking up the plumber's union.

How this notion of "Republicans are the friends of the working class" got sold, I will never understand.

Snob? Let's see. Obama family has one house, one car. McCain family has seven or 10 houses (no one is really sure), 10 or so cars, and has free access to Cindi's company's private jet. The dress Cindi wore to the RNC cost what, $300,000? (Hey, more than Joe's supposed plumbing business will cost!) Which candidate do you think is more out of touch with the working class?

Something tells me "Joe the Plumber" confronting Obama on his Socialist tax plans has struck a chord.

I have just retired and I worked for a GC for over the last 13 years and we had hundreds of plumbers working for us and some were making over $750,000 per year and many others were making well over $250,000, plumbers do much more than just clean out your toilet bowl, Some install HVAC systems, it depends on how ambitious the plumber becomes, you can have a plumbers license and do mechanical work and some HVAC systems depending on where you install them runs in the uppper $850,000 dollar range. I am speaking of large buildings. Joe teh plumbers knows more about business than obama will ever know.
