John McCain Now Within One-Point of Obama in New Battleground Tracking Poll - 10/21/08
The latest Battleground Tracking Poll has John McCain pulling within one-point of Barack Obama at 48%-47%! That represents a dramatic turnaround for McCain, who trailed in the Battleground Poll by 13-points just one week ago at 53%-40%.
Other tracking polls are all over the map. Zogby has Obama out to an 8-point lead at 50%-42%, but Rasmussen has it a four-point race at 50%-46%. It will be interesting to see if some of the other tracking polls show a tightening race over the next few days. Hopefully, Battleground is picking up a trend that the others have not yet tapped into.

The Nickelodium kids election showed Obama winning only 51%-49% with almost 2 1/2 million total votes. In 2004 they had Kerry winning 57%-43%. Pay attention to this and the Weekly reader poll (being conducted by Zogby).
kids tend to vote based on what they hear at home.
Thank you for that very interesting information. That will be something to watch!
One word for you: OUTLIER POLL
Zogby Obama +8
Gallup Obama +11
ABCS News/Wash Post Obama +9
Hotline Obama +6

Obama is a gross fraud and the people will eventually understand this. And what about his latest trick, showing his soft side by visiting his "ailing" grandmother - my, we are so impressed, his holding the hand of that typical white woman!
Ugly PR trick - his grandmother is either well & sound, or she's being ailing for long, Obama didn't care a iota about it, until he realized that it would look nice for the TV camera to be seen by her.
Doesn't this remind Obama's cynicism in Germany, when he dumped the Military hospital visit because he didn't get TV coverage? Or, even the grosser one, in Jerusalem where he planted in the Wailing Wall a note whose duplicate was already on editor's table at the Israeli outfit? How spantaneous, how deeply felt! Gretchen, this man is a good man! - sinister fraud this Obama is!
misanthropicus,
I think we should have nothing but sympathy for Sen. Obama and the serious illness of his grandmother. She is elderly and genuinely ill. Sen. Obama is right to go to her side. Just because we disagree with his policies, does not mean we should be cold-hearted and without sympathy for a fellow-American facing the illness of a loved one. Let's keep things in perspective.
Very well said, Brian...please accept my compliments for your classy post and genuine heart-felt sentiments. As a progressive, I may not agree with McCain's policies, but I wish no harm on him - nor do I ever want to see him grieve or suffer as Obama is.
erikson,
Thanks for your comment. We are not enemies simply because we disagree on policy. I wish Barack Obama no ill will, and I do sympathize with him greatly as he faces the suffering and illness of his grandmother who helped raise him. I am absolutely confident John McCain would feel the same way, as would Barack Obama if the situation was reversed.
